Eligibility Criteria - of Assam Police Recruitment 2023
a) Nationality - Candidates should be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam. Selected candidates will need to provide proof of residence after the final select list is published. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC/MOBC categories are not required to submit these certificates.
b) Candidates must enroll their names with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
c) Candidates must be fluent in Assamese or any other language spoken within the state.
AGE LIMIT
The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 40 years of age as on 01/01/2023. (Candidate must be born on or before 01-01-2002 and on or after 01-01-1983).
Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as follows:-
(i) By 3 Years for OBC Candidates.
(ii) By 5 Years for ST Candidates.
(iii) By 5 Years for SC Candidates.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
(i) For Nurse: Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) form a Govt. Medical College.
(ii) For Laboratory Technician: Passed Laboratory Technician Course from Medical College.
(iii) For Teacher:
(a) HSSLC Passed &
(b) Jr. Basic Training Certificate.
(iii) For Craft Instructor:
(a) HSLC Passed
(b) Certificate in Bamboo & Cane work /Tailoring/Weaving/Soap making from ITI or such other recognized Institute.
(iv) For Tractor Operator:
(a) HSLC Passed
(b) Tractor Driving License.

Selection Process - Assam Police Prisons Department
(i) Written Examination.
(ii) Trade Proficiency Test
WRITTEN TEST:-
(a) Written test will consist of 100 multiple choice type questions to be answered on an OMR answer sheet. For each correct answer the Candidate will get half mark. Questions will be of the level of class IX and X .Total marks for the Written Test will be 50. There will be no negative marking.
(b) The subjects to be covered will be as follows:-
i. Elementary Arithmetic
ii. General English
iii. Logical reasoning/Mental ability
iv. Assam’s History, Geography, Polity, Economy
v. General Awareness/General Knowledge and current affairs.
The question paper for Written Exam will be in the following languages: Assamese / Bodo / Bengali / English.
