About the Program

INSPIRE Scholarship For Higher Education (SHE) 2023 is an initiative of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India to provide financial help to students who have passed Class 12 and wish to pursue courses in Basic and Natural Science. The selected students will receive a scholarship amount of INR 5,000 per month and a mentorship grant of INR 20,000 per annum.

  To be eligible, an applicant must -

  • be within the age group of 17-22 years
  • be pursuing a degree in one of the following subjects under Natural and Basic Sciences at the B.Sc., B.S., and Int. M.Sc./M.S. level:-
    • Physics
    • Chemistry
    • Mathematics
    • Biology
    • Statistics
    • Geology
    • Astrophysics
    • Astronomy
    • Electronics
    • Botany
    • Biochemistry
    • Zoology
    • Anthropology
    • Microbiology

  • have scored in the top 1% of their Class 12 examination OR
  • have secured ranks in the JEE of IIT, AIPMT, NEET (within the top 10,000 rank) OR
  • be a National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) scholar, Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS) scholar or International Olympiad medalist

  Note: 

  • Students pursuing courses other than specified are not eligible to apply. 
  • Students pursuing studies through open university or distance mode are not eligible to apply. 
  • Students who have passed Class 12 examination in the previous academic year will not be considered.

  Benefits

  Selected scholars will receive a monthly emolument of INR 5,000 for a period of five years, or until the completion of their course, whichever is earlier. Scholars are also eligible to receive a mentorship grant of INR 20,000 per annum.

  How can you apply?

  Step 10: Finally, submit the application form.

Selection Criteria

The selection process for the INSPIRE Scholarship is conducted by the DST in two stages. In the first stage, applications are screened based on the applicant's academic performance and other relevant factors. In the second stage, shortlisted candidates are invited for an interview.

Terms and Conditions

• Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. No claims or representations will be entertained regarding the same.
• The scholarship is tenable for a maximum period of five years starting from the first year of B.Sc./B.S./Int.M.Sc./Int.M.S. or until the completion of the course (whichever is earlier).
• The continuation of the scholarship depends on the good academic performance of the scholars in the examinations conducted by the University and on the recommendation of the Head of the Institution.

About the Program

Swami Dayanand Education Foundation Merit-cum-Means Scholarship 2023-24 is an initiative of Swami Dayanand Education Foundation (SDEF) to provide financial assistance to students pursuing professional courses, including engineering, medical, architecture, etc., and other undergraduate programs at government or private institutions in India. The objective of SDEF is to support exceptionally talented students facing financial constraints, enabling them to pursue and complete their college education. Selected candidates will receive up to INR 50,000 per annum or up to INR 2 lakh over the duration of their degree to continue their higher studies.

  Eligibility

  • Students must be enrolled in professional courses such as engineering, medical, architecture, etc., or other undergraduate programs offered by government or private educational institutions in India.

  • Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence by achieving a minimum CGPA of 7.5 or securing 75% or higher marks in their Class 12 examinations.

  • The annual family income of the applicants must not exceed INR 6 lakh.

  Benefits:

  Below is the scholarship fund allocation for various categories of students and courses, including JEE/NEET rank holders, professional degree programs, and general degree courses:

  For JEE/NEET Rank Holders:

  • Ranks 1-500: INR 2 lakh for four years
  • Ranks 501-1500: INR 1.6 lakh for four years
  • Ranks 1501-3000: INR 1.2 lakh for four years

  For Professional Degree Courses: INR 80,000 for four years

  For General Degree Courses: INR 10,000 per annum

  NOTE: The scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to the bank accounts of the respective educational institutions.

About the Program

The India Fellow invites applications for the India Fellow Social Leadership Program 2024 from graduates between 20 and 30 years of age. It is an 18-month leadership program for young professionals from various walks of life, willing to work with communities and find their leadership potential to make a difference.

It is an experiential social leadership program for the youth of India which includes working full-time for 18 months with a host organization on a specific project along with training, peer learning and mentoring. The fellows will receive a monthly stipend of up to INR 22,000 and other benefits.

  Eligibility

  To be eligible for the fellowship programme, an applicant must -

  • be an Indian citizen
  • be between 20 to 30 years of age
  • be a graduate degree holder in any discipline or about to complete graduation in any field by fellowship start date
  • be ready for an 18-month full-time commitment to the fellowship
  • be prepared to be placed in any part of the country and in any thematic area

   

  Note - The selected candidates can be placed in any part of the country and in any thematic area.

  Benefits

  The selected fellows will receive the benefits as follow - 

  For rural areas:

  The selected candidates will receive INR 15,000 per month along with accommodation. If the organization does not provide accommodation then the stipend is INR 18,000 per month.

  For metropolitan areas of Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Hyderabad:

  The stipend is INR 17,000 and 22,000 respectively with and without accommodation.

Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships 2023-24

Eligibility

An applicant must -

• Be a resident Indian citizen
• Have passed standard 12th with minimum 60% marks and is attending a full-time undergraduate degree programme in India
• Have household income less than Rs. 15 Lakhs (preference given to income less than Rs. 2.5 Lakhs)
• Aptitude Test is mandatory

The following students are not eligible:

• Students who are in the 2nd year or higher
• Students pursuing their degree through online, remote, distance or any other non-regular modes
• Students who have passed the Diploma after 10th Std
